A Modular Hilt System (MHS) Saber is a hilt that is comprised of individual pieces in order to complete an entire hilt.
The overall design of a MHS system is fairly simple.
- Traditionally fabricated from aluminum
- Pieces screw together
- Internal diameter around 1"
- Basic hilt is made piecing together a
- Pommel (bottom)
- Grip (mid-section)
- Emitter (also known as a blade holder)
The hilt's length can vary depending on the pieces the fabricator uses. Keep in mind that there are other pieces that can be added to increase the overall length of the hilt (such as a foregrip)
The internal diameter is also large enough to house a sound board that is either custom made or cannibalized from a ForceFX lightsaber. (Master Replicas/Hasbro)
